I really cannot stress enough how important it is to go out there and get involved. You can accomplish this in many ways at warren(more so than you think). Finding a club that fits your odd quirks is probably the easiest because you guys all immediately have something in common. When I came to school going to all the welcome week activities and free food events I met some of the people that i miss dearly right now and can't wait to see when school starts again in september!
An important thing to note though, is that getting involved doesn't mean you should shun your school work for fun things which can happen very easily because that tends to happen sometimes. Although...studying in groups is a GREAT way to get to know other people in both your classes and in your college because the dorms have these cool study rooms on each floor which sometimes have people in them and are usually studying.
Especially during the first few weeks of school if you like sports, there are almost always people on warren lawn(which in right in the middle of all the living areas, which is how I made a lot of friends too playing some ultimate frisbee, football and volleyball. So any way that fits your style or your personality just go out there and meet some cool new people from all around.
