Freshman Summer Reading Program

As a part of the Warren College Summer Reading Program, incoming students are encouraged to read Connected: The Surprising Power of Our Social Networks and How They Shape Our Lives by Nicholas A. Christakis and James H. Fowler before they arrive at UCSD for Orientation.

UCSD Professor James Fowler, one of the book's authors, will speak at the Freshman Orientation Program. In addition, this intriguing look at how social networks affect our lives in profound ways will be required reading in one of the Warren Writing courses all students take as a part of their general education requirements.
